Measures against hacking would be a priority topic at a conference for chief information officers (CIOs), an antivirus company said on Monday.
David Jacoby of Kaspersky Lab said that businesses were spending large amounts of money on anti-hacking measures but were not getting to the root of the problem.
Kaspersky Lab would discuss solutions to this in the Industrial Development Corporation Africa CIO summit on Monday and Tuesday.
The conference would discuss the role of the CIO in workforce productivity, business strategy and the handling of information, Kaspersky Lab said.
