Financial services software maker SS&C Technologies Holdings Inc. said Friday it has acquired BenefitsXML, which makes software for employee benefits service providers.
The company did not disclose financial terms of the deal.
BenefitsXML is based in Glastonbury. Its Web-based software helps with new hire enrollment and ongoing changes employees make to their enrollments in company benefits. The acquisition adds 19 employees to SS&C.
SS&C says the acquisition brings it additional technical and other resources and expands its product line.
Shares of SS&C slipped 13 cents to $18.54 in afternoon trading.
